Pullnose

  • A pullnose belt consists of a static entry and an exit which is retractable at belt level.
  • When the nose is retracted products may be deposited (pullnose deposit) or ejected, e.g. after a metal detector or before a storage unit (product flow regulator).
  • Dual pullnose: Two pullnoses opposite each other in the same line may be used to separate products or to form rows. This way, a continuous flow of products or product groups (batches), e.g. from a molding unit or the biscuit oven, may be separated into single rows, which would later allow for a reliable discharge of such single rows by Cross feeding stations.
  • A manually operated pullnose may be ideal when the machine is at a standstill, in order to generate a passageway in the line, e.g. for maintenance operations or the handling of pallets.
