Transver: History

Transver logo.

Transver was founded in 1968 by Werner Bührer with two employees in Wädenswil on Lake Zurich. From the very first day, the company specialized in conveyor systems for the packaging industry. This is also the origin of the company name: Trans(port) and Ver(packing), the German word for packaging. One of the customers was the company Schweizerische Industrie Gesellschaft (SIG) which entered the market of packaging machines already at the beginning of the twentieth century. In 1978, SIG acquired Transver and integrated it into its SIG Pack division. With the acquisition of SIG Pack by Bosch Packaging Technology in 2004, Transver became a Bosch company. In 2011, Transver then joined the Rotzinger Group.
